		  Joint OSSG Meeting with BCS Hants and BCS Software Quality SG 20th or 27th October 2005 

I have spoken to Margaret Ross Chair of BCS Hampshire and Vice-Chair of BCS Software Quality SG. A joint event with OSSG can be timetabled for either Thursday 20th or 27th October 2005 at Southampton Institute. The potential topic will be Open Source Software Quality with speaker(s) to be decided. This topic was suggested to Gary Lloyd at the recent UK Unix and Open Systems Users Group (UKUUG) committee meeting he attended.


LinuxWorld 5th to 6th October 2005 Kensington Olympia London - OSSG Stand

I see that at http://www.linuxworldexpo.co.uk/ this years UK Linux World Conference and Expo is to take place on 5th to 6th October. Last years UK LinuxWorld was a superb event so I would have thought OSSG should exhibit there. We could ask BCS HQ if we can have OSSG representatives available at the main BCS stand as an alternative or in addition to our own stand.
