Re: Reminder: OSSG Committe meeting 17:00 tomorrow - note new dial in

I regret I cannot make this discussion time - and apologies for not being able to do last week's. Too many other trips - I was in Brussels last week for a few days.

I will try and catch up on the discussions so far and see if I can add anything useful.

On an advance warning - as I cannot commit the time I think is needed to this Committee, I will not be seeking re-election as Treasurer when we come to deal with elections later in the year. I will, however, try to be as active a member of the group as I can, and in particular informing other people about it. I was talking with a few OS people in Brussels last week (inc some from new EU projects in OS in Ireland and places), who were interested in the group's existence.

Cheers, Peter

We can rule out Tim Berners-Lee. He rarely gives speaking engagements, is based at MIT in the USA, according to my contact he could not speak or debate freely on Free/Open-Source because of his position in the WorldWideWebConsortium, and the topic is not one of his primary interests.
