This looks interesting. Do you know when they are planning to hold their AGM as this might usefully coincide with one of our planned OSSG events. In particular the event on Licences being organized by Gary and the event on Patents being organized by Andrew. The event on Free software versus Open Source being organized by Paul certainly looks ready made for them, but I am not sure AFFS would welcome this topic at their AGM.

Maybe if we hold a joint event with them they can supply some funding for a buffet/refreshments if we can supply a venue.

Perhaps we can discuss and explore the matter of whether/how we can be involved with AFFS at the meeting next Monday, 18th July 2005.

		  I don't have any info. on dates, I'm afraid. I agree that there would seem some natural synergy with some of our events.

I cannot be at next Monday's meeting, as I will be in USA (talking about open source etc. at a couple of conference sessions) - so if someone wants to pick up discussion with them, that is fine with me, rather than hold things up.
