I booked available capacity for at least 100 but I guess this equates to a bit more as it must involve the booking of two rooms. This should give us a reasonable time to promote the event and let Paul set up registration. The next planned OSSG event after this is early April, which is being organized by Peter I understand.I assume this is all okay but please let me know ASAP if there are any objections to any of this.Do we want too spend money on a buffet for this say £200?Markoriginal: http://ossg.bcs.org/organisation/discussion/committee/794070575585_____________________________"Committee Forum" http://ossg.bcs.org/organisation/discussion/committee"BCS Open Source Specialist Group" http://ossg.bcs.orgThis e-mail and any attachment are confidential and contain proprietary information, some or all of which may be legally privileged. In case you have not picked it up via other mechanisms - please note the following about move of BCS HQ in Swindon.

Cheers, Peter

Dear SG Officers and committee members

I am pleased to advise you that the BCS HQ office move is scheduled to
be completed over the weekend of 18/19 February 2006.

As a result:

1.	Our servers will be down over the weekend of 4/5 February as
follows:

	a) Website - Saturday 4 February - 09.00 to 18.00
	b) Email list server - Saturday 4 February - 09.00 to 21.00

Thus, please particularly avoid Saturday, 4 February for sending
any SG event email announcements via listserver lists.
Please also bear in mind that these times are estimates; the
servers could be down for a little longer, but hopefully not also on
Sunday, 5 February.

2.	The postal address will be:

	The British Computer Society
	First Floor, Block D
	North Star House
	North Star Avenue
	Swindon
	SN2 1FA

3.	A redirection service will be set-up for one year from the date
of moving.

4.	A 'multimap' location map may be seen via
http://tinyurl.com/9ksrn or found on the main BCS website, under
contact/maps to BCS. (Note that entry of SN2 1FA directly into multimap
or Google maps currently gives the wrong location)

5.	The anticipated launch date for the new-look BCS website is
likely to be mid-February.

The move will get all HQ staff in one building and is intended to be to
the advantage of both staff and members. Everything is being done to
minimise disruption during the move and it should be 'all systems go',
when the move has been completed.

Thank you for your understanding during this period.

Regards
